At Riverside Recovery we value everyone that works in our office.  Our employees are highly trained, supervised, and receive ongoing support throughout their employment.  We challenge ourselves to make Riverside Recovery a welcoming place to work and a comfortable, supportive place to be.
 
 

Sara Bennett, LCPC, CADC, and LMHC

     Executive Director, Owner

 

Sara graduated from Lewiston High School and then completed her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Idaho.  She went on to complete her Master's Degree from Washington State University in Counseling Psychology. 

 

After graduating she worked for Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Adult Mental Health for over 7 years working with adults suffering from severe and persistent mental illnesses.  During this time she worked directly with the Nez Perce, Clearwater and Latah Mental Health court programs providing co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment. 

 

Sara has been working for Riverside Recovery since 2010 providing integrated mental health treatment and substance use treatment. 

 

Sara is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. 

Philip Waggoner

     

Phil has been our fearless leader since 1994.  Although he is no longer practicing we honor and appreciate his mentorship.

Phil graduated from Chadron State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education.  Phil became a certified addictions counselor in Nebraska and was a Regional Coordinator for West Nebraska State Hospital in Scottsbluff, NE.  Phil continued his education and received a Master's Degree in Health Services from Chadron State College

 

Phil has worked as an addiction therapist and health service administer in Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming and Idaho.

 

Phil came to Lewiston, ID in 1990 to deliver substance abuse services at River Crest Hospital, which closed in 1994.  Phil started Riverside Recovery in 1994 and has been Executive Director/Clinical Supervisor since that time.

Kellie Baker, CADC

     Counselor

 

Kellie has been working in the addictions field since 1987.  She has lived and worked all around the country providing substance abuse treatment: Michigan, Florida and Idaho. 

 

Kellie is a person in long-term recovery and has been clean since 1986.  She has dedicated her life to helping addicted people and their families achieve healing and create lives of joy. 

 

Brianne Nelson, LMSW, CADC 

    Counselor

     

 

Bri started working at Riverside Recovery in August of 2016, while working towards her bachelors degree.  She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a minor in Addictions Studies, December 2016 from Lewis Clark State College.  She completed her Masters in Social Work August 2021.

James started working at Riverside Recovery in 2020, after completing his Bachelor's degree at Lewis Clark State College.

Dana Boyd

 

Dana has a BS in Business Administration from Chadron State College.  She worked in marketing and public relations in many hospitals - including The Children's Hospital in Denver, CO and Campbell County Hospital in Gillette, WY where she directed a wellness program.

 

 

Prior to joining Riverside Recovery in 1998, she worked at Northwest Children's Home doing admissions and marketing. 

 

 

Dana is a "people person" who is dedicated to helping community members in recovery. 

 

 

Stacey Reel

 

Stacey graduated from Lewis Clark State College with an associates degree in Office Technology and Book keeping in 2000.

 

She has been working at Riverside Recovery since 2003.

 

Stacey is dedicated and passionate about furthering the mission and goals of Riverside Recovery.  She brings lively spirit to the office.

Ann "Frosty" Jefferson

     

 

Frosty graduated from college with a Bachelors in Home Economics, she returned to college after her daughters middle school and completed her coursework in Social Work.  She is currently a Licensed Social Worker.  

 

Frosty has worked for SJRMC and Community Action Partnership as a social worker and case manager.  She worked as a case manager at Riverside Recovery for 2 years before transitioning to an administrative position.
